Alteration to our New Year Opening Hours
Please be aware that due to currently having no vet available on site due to Covid-19, we are amending our opening hours on New Years Eve and will now be closing at 4pm.
As always, should your pet need veterinary care during this time you either be directed to one of our local sister practices during working hours or to our emergency out of hours centre at Willows Veterinary Hospital in Hartford (01606 723202). Our usual opening hours will resume from Tuesday 4th January 2022.
Thank you for your co-operation during this challenging time for all of us.
On behalf of all the team at The Firs Veterinary Surgery I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year.
Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you safely in 2022
Jo Maxwell

Clinical Director
Important Update
Unfortunately, some members of our team are isolating at the moment which means that we will be operating with a skeleton staff over the next couple of weeks.
Because of this we will be offering an emergency service only and may ask you to visit one of our other practices, which may be some distance away.
Your pet’s welfare is our priority and under the circumstances, whilst this will involve some inconvenience, it means that because we are part of a group, we can continue to provide care for your pet at this most difficult time.
We know this situation is not ideal, but we would ask that you continue to respect and support our staff who are facing very difficult challenges.
Thank you for your understanding.

We are currently only accepting new registrations from within a 7 mile radius of the practice

For non-emergency enquiries including ordering medications and repeat prescriptions please
